Monica has been with Kazlaw since March 2019. Prior to joining, Monica articled and practiced at a downtown Vancouver law firm where she gained experience representing insurance companies and defendants in cases involving personal injury, eventually focusing her practice exclusively in the area of personal injury. Although she continued to defend personal injury claims for many years, her practice is focussed on representing injured individuals, in particular ICBC personal injury claims for drivers, passengers and pedestrians.

Monica has handled a wide range of personal injury claims including, chronic pain conditions, neurological injury, orthopedic injury, psychological injury and soft tissue injury. She has represented clients at all levels of the British Columbia Courts and has experience mediating and negotiating out of court settlements. Monica’s knowledge and understanding of how insurance companies defend personal injury claims enables her to provide clients with unique insight into the process and helps her develop strategies for successful resolution of her clients’ claims.

Monica is extremely dedicated to her clients. She is involved an all levels of the claims and litigation process and is passionate about ensuring that a just settlement is obtained.

Outside the practise of law, Monica devotes her time to her children and her two dogs. She is also an avid traveller and enjoys culinary arts and photography. Monica was born in Vancouver and raised on the North Shore to emigrants from the former country of Czechoslovakia.
